Jaime has been in the banking industry for over eight years. She strives to provide a positive experience for every customer that she interacts with on a daily basis by ensuring they obtain the products specific to their situations and needs. Jaime is active within her community and volunteers at many local events.

Being newer to lending, Jaime finds every loan and every customer is different. It is rewarding each time a customer sits down to sign documents. Knowing that she helped them by providing the opportunity to purchase something, consolidate debt, or transform their home into their dream home is reward enough. It makes Jaime happy every day to have the opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life.

Jaime appreciates the customer and coworker relationships the most. Each day, she enjoys interacting with amazing people and learning something new about them. Sooner or later, they become like friends and family. Customer interactions remain the best part of her day, even though they can sometimes be unpleasant.

“Being able to make a difference in their everyday life means a lot to me,” Jaime states. “[It] is something I have always strived to be able to do with my life.” Knowing each day is different and offers different opportunities to grow both personally and professionally is what motivates Jaime in her work every day. Opportunities arise every day that she has not faced before and from which she can learn. Being a bit of both a ‘people person’ and a ‘numbers person’ are important, and in banking we cannot talk about one without the other.

“Building relationships with customers provides us with the ability to grow as a financial institution,” Jaime says.

The banking and finance industry has the ability to reach people of all ages. This is especially important as we adapt to this new, technological age. We take responsibility for educating and aiding all generations and providing comfort and support to all our customers’ needs. Customers are our business, so maintaining that trust with them is so very important. As changes arise, we need to continue to show respect, concern, and support to customers.

Jaime’s experience through the past few years has changed quite a bit. She has work experience with Reliance Bank as a teller, teller supervisor, and is currently a personal banking representative. With each career change, she has found that working as a team with her coworkers allows us to meet the demands of our customers.

“Everyone on our team has knowledge to share, and there is always something else to learn,” Jaime explains. This learning continues to strengthen the team and increases Reliance Bank’s ability to meet the demands of our customers and the banking industry in the future.
